I had been trying to out exercise a poor diet for years and felt like I got away with it in clothes, but I just didn't feel comfortable in a bathing suit and with my midsection. I decided I was fed up with being held back by this and I needed to try to see for myself if I could achieve my "dream body” because clearly at age 34, I hadn't figured out this whole eating thing, so it only made sense to enlist the help of a professional who's been there themselves.
I also believe that your body/life is a reflection of you and that prevention is the best medicine. I want to age gracefully, with minimal inflammation, I don't want to have chronic pain, mobility issues or become diabetic and lose a limb because of it. I don't want to be a burden on my family or the medical system because I didn't take the steps to improve and look after my health.
I chose Marcus because I had watched a colleague at work do his program and had asked her about it, if it was restrictive etc and she shared her experience with me. I was just always so impressed at her dedication with packing her own food daily, especially with our long work days.
Also, once I checked out Marcus’ website, credentials etc and saw just how many people he had coached, it made me feel very confident in my choice. The podcast is a great resource and intro to his style of coaching and approach to health and fitness as well.
We built healthy, sustainable eating and lifestyle habits and our weekly check-ins held me accountable…also, the amazing results we achieved along the way motivated me immensely!
My stomach is the flattest it's ever been at 34 years old, it's crazy! My energy levels are consistent throughout the day, I walk at a brisk pace and never get out of breath. I just feel like my body runs more efficiently overall and oh, I sleep like a baby!
I found Marcus’ program very effective, easy to follow and he was very helpful and consistent…I have to say, this has been the most empowering thing that I’ve ever done for my health.
