I had worked with Marcus in 2015 and had success…fast track to 2022, and I had 2 children under 2.5 (one that was 6 months old) and I had spent 6 years either trying to be pregnant, pregnant, or breastfeeding. My body and mind felt slow and I didn't feel like myself. I was blaming it on Postpartum Depression and just barely getting through every day. I was eating randomly and at all hours, I was choosing sweets over whole foods and drinking too often.
I knew that I needed help and Marcus was the only one that I knew I wanted to work with because I like Marcus' methods. He is no bullish!t and he offers really great support. I have also known him since Elementary school so there is something to be said about me calling him my friend when knowing I need help.
We worked towards me changing my habits, especially out of my Postpartum breastfeeding brain that told me I should eat at least one cookie a day. Marcus worked my health plan to concentrate more on eating properly and weighing my food, with less emphasis on me working out because I have 2 young kids and I felt like I couldn't or didn't have time. He changed the way I thought about how much activity and how often I needed to be doing to lose weight. He convinced me to just start walking and it really made a difference and now I enjoy being outside so much! I started to put my youngest in a carrier and now I'm climbing hills and getting results!
Losing 30lbs was more than I ever imagined I could lose and I also lost 5 inches in my hips and actually leaned out in my legs! My thighs have always touched and I had always thought that it was 'just my body' (bigger boned since I was a teen) but seeing a space between my thighs has been my biggest achievement!
I love Marcus and and I love how he checks in on you. It's not just once a week, it's 3 times at least and that keeps you more accountable. I also like his weekly questions because they make you think about your sleep, movement, and nutrition throughout the week and it's easier to stay on track over the weekend that way. I also loved the choices in the meal plan, there were so many options and I honestly never felt deprived!
